A whale of a time!

It was hot here this past weekend, so Grady decided to beat the heat by taking his whale outside for a spin.

Welcome to my whale. Care to have a seat?

Thinking deep thoughts...

Monkey business

Grady and cousin Daniel, two of the monkiest little monkeys I know, got together in May for some pictures. Grady is very lucky to have a cousin who loves him so much!

Daniel gives Grady a kiss while Grady practices his tai chi.

OK. They're both looking at the camera...that's progress! Grady's still pondering his tai chi moves. Daniel is wondering if it is time for breakfast yet.

One looking at the camera, one looking elsewhere...

Daniel helps Grady move his hand away from his face so he can smile.

Hmm... We might be need to be resituated...

More kisses for Grady. Such happy little monkeys!!

Baseball!

Grady received a baseball outfit, complete with shorts and a cap as a shower gift from one of my coworkers. Here he is with Daddy, trying out the baseball bat Grandpop got for him.

Check out the proper hand placement on that grip.

Batter up!!

No, I have never taken performance-enhancing drugs...

Huh? Whaddya mean I struck out??

Words fail me here.

Memorial Day 2009

Here's Grady sporting his summer shark shirt and khakis, ready to bum around outside on Memorial Day weekend. We went to a picnic at the neighbors' house and Grady made lots of new friends. He enjoyed nearly 4 hours of "pass the baby" before finally letting us know he was ready for bed. ;)

Bathtime, take 2.

Grady's taken to really enjoying his bathtime, especially when he can catch water from the sprayer. He's learning to splash and flail in the tub, and giggle at himself in the process.

Grady's daycare art project

A couple weeks ago we received an email from daycare advising us that the center was redecorating the indoor playroom and that each child had a bear outline in their cubby. The kids were supposed to decorate the bears and return them. Mommy had to help Grady with his bear. He wasn't too sure about the glue and cotton balls and couldn't figure out why this paper kept cluttering up his tray!

"Jazz hands!"

Gaming!

Grady's becoming quite the gamer. He's fascinated by the Xbox controllers and buttons.
He also likes to chill in his Bumbo chair.
